Reflection

In this short series of experiments- I explored the idea of pulling material across surfaces to create areas of depression and stretch that suggest independent space within and without. I enjoyed working through these experiments because I was able to explore textures and select based on calculations for elongation and tensile modulus which materials and mixes would be most successful. I enjoyed working with the latex and applying them to wire but I found the use of synthetic nylon and tights to be more malleable and forgiving as a method of experimentation.

I consider these experiments to be successful as I decided to apply the methods and processes I learned to my final outcome.
